Over the years, unattractive features appear on the face. Redness and brown spots change the complexion, expression lines deepen and form permanent wrinkles and volume migrates from the top of the face to the bottom. What should you do? Advice from a dermatologist.
First, you must even out the complexion—this is the role of foundation—then you must work on volumes. To accomplish this you play with the light and dark shades of the foundation or the powder you use as a finishing touch. Make-up should be applied to moisturised skin. This moisturising base may have a repair function; you must ensure its compatibility with the make-up. |
I choose the shade based on the skin's colour, which changes with the seasons. First I apply concealer to imperfections by patting it on with my finger. Then I even out the complexion by diluting the corrective foundation with the moisturising base to achieve a product that is easier to spread. I always finish by patting the make-up with a wide brush for a more natural appearance. |
So to counter this effect, we lighten them. When applying the foundation, I choose a lighter shade which I apply with my finger or a fine brush to the inside of wrinkles. I also use a lighter shade on the cheekbones, the outer third of the upper eyelids and the temples. However, I use a dark powder to blend along the bottom of the cheeks. |
