Gentle Retinol, Great First Impression
I’ve recently started using the La Roche-Posay Retinol B3 Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Ageing Serum, and so far I’m really liking it. I have normal skin, and I’m happy to say there’s been no burning or irritation at all, which is great for a retinol product.
The serum feels lightweight, absorbs well, and is very comfortable on the skin. It’s still early days, so I’m waiting to see visible results, but first impressions are very positive. My skin feels smooth and calm after application.
Overall, it seems like a gentle retinol option, even for sensitive skin, and I’m enjoying using it so far. Looking forward to seeing the results with continued use!

Fantastic product, my skin is looking brighter my pores are improving, yes I went through the initial retinol purge with a good spot on my forehead. But I had been using the effclar cream for at least a year beforehand so my pores are virtually clear. But now they are definitely decreasing in size, great when I have varifocals and my glasses emphasise them

Worse skin reaction ever
I’m extremely disappointed with this product. I used it once, applying only two drops as recommended since I know it’s best to start slow with retinol. Despite that, I woke up the next morning with my face covered in spots. I waited four days, hoping it would calm down if I avoided putting anything on my skin, but the spots just kept getting worse. Eventually, I had to go to the pharmacy, where I was prescribed soothing gels and antihistamines. I understand some purging can happen, but this reaction seems extreme. My skin looks worse than ever, and it feels irritated and uncomfortable. I have had spot since puberty, and even then i barely had. I was really hoping for better results, but this experience has been awful.
