Lather cleanser in hands with warm water. Massage gently onto face, avoiding eye area. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water. Can also be used as a body wash.

ROUTINE FOR OILY, BLEMISH-PRONE SKIN

  1. Cleanse to lift dirt & excess oil from the skin surface. Effaclar Gel Cleanser is suitable for oily, blemish-prone skin. Rinse with water & avoid the eye area. ​
  2. After cleansing, apply Effaclar Duo+M Anti-Blemish Corrective Gel Moisturiser onto your fingers. Blend evenly over your face. Allow product to fully absorb before layering on top. ​
  3. Follow with daily sun protection with a minimum of SPF30. We recommend Anthelios UVMune 400 Oil Control Fluid.
  4. For fast-acting results on early or raised spots, use Effaclar Duo+M 3HR Spot Patches. Wear for 3-8 hours, in the daytime or overnight.

I’ve had it before and it was great for soothing my problematic skin and calming it down to prevent blemishes. I find it best used with the Effaclar moisturiser for twice the dose of great skincare products. The cleanser has a great lather and softens your skin to feel clear and clean.

On the downside, I found it quite drying on my skin eventhough I am a combo more oily skin, and I personally didn’t enjoy the smell either, it’s not unbearable, just not something I look forward to using. That said, it does lather really well and gives that “super clean” feeling, which works especially well for oily skin types. The good thing is that despite the dryness, it didn’t cause me to break out at all, which is a big plus. In terms of price, I’d say it’s fairly reasonable for a dermatologist-backed brand and the tube lasts a long time, so you do get decent value.

I like that it’s just a few steps and doesn’t feel overwhelming. My skin felt cleaner pretty quickly, and over time I noticed fewer breakouts and less oiliness. It’s not one of those routines that works overnight, but it feels like it’s actually improving your skin instead of just covering things up.
